"Where the Condors Fly" on screen II
In May several International Film Festivals have chosen Carlos Klein's reflection about filmmaking for their program again. "Where the Condors Fly" is going to be screened at festivals in Mexico, France, Germany and Ecuador. In Switzerland, the film will be on theatre screen in Lucerne.
Ambulante Film Festival in Mexico
The Mexican travelling Ambulante Film Festival still has integrated "Where the Condors Fly" (span. title Donde vuelan los condores) in his properly chosen program in the section "Cine sobre Cine" (film about film).

EDOC Encuentro del otro Cine, International Film Festival, Ecuador
In Latin America, "Where the Condors Fly" (span. title "Donde vuelan los cóndores") is going to be presented in Ecuador. EDOC Festival - Encuentros documentales - has programmed the film in their Panorama Section. Director Carlos Klein himself is going to introduce his film.

Ambulante Film Festival in Mexico

In February and March the film has already been presented in different cultural insitutions in Mexico D.F., Puebla and Jalisco, among others in the Goethe-Institute in D.F.. In the upcoming months April and May, the documentary film festival is touring to further Mexican cities - the Condors in its luggage.

Sofia International Film Festival in Bulgaria:
"Where the Condors Fly" will celebrate its Bulgarian festival premiere at International Film Festival in Sofia (SIFF). The documentary about Victor Kossakovsky is programed in the International Competition and competes with ten other documentaries for the Millenium Award for the Best Documentary.

"Where the Condors Fly" - Screenings in Santiago de Chile
Being awarded at its last festival screening in Chile at FICValdivia, the documentary "Where the Condors Fly" (Span. title: "Donde vuelan los Cóndores") is coming back to the country's capital and native town of director Carlos Klein. The film was awarded one more time by Festival Cine //B_5: it won a prize as "Best Film" in the Competencia Largo Nacional and is going to be screened at the 3rd festival of Cinemateca Nacional in Santiago de Chile.

Participation at International Film Festivals
"Where the Condors Fly" continues its international festival career. It celebrates its Northamerican premiere at RIDM Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal (7.-18.11.) and travels on to IDFA International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (14.-25.11.).
Two awards at FICValdivia 2012
"Where the Condors Fly" by Carlos Klein was awarded twice at International Film Festival FICValdivia (2.-7.10.). The documentary about film making has been screened for the second time in the country of origin of its director and has won a prize as "Best film" in the section "Chilean cinema" ("Mejor Pelicula" Competencia "Cine chileno"). Carlos Klein's reflection about possibilities and limitations of cinematography was awarded additionally with the Audience Award VTR (premio VTR del público).

The documentary "Where the Condors Fly" by Carlos Klein will be screened at the International Film Festival FICValdivia (2.-7.10.) for the second time in the country of origin of its director. The film will be part of the competition program.
Afterwards "Where the Condors Fly" will continue its festival career in Asia and be screened at TIDF Taiwan International Documentary Festival (19.-26.10), for the first time in Taiwan.

In Lithuania, Carlos Klein's cinematographic reflection about filmmaking and its possibilities is chosen to be the opening film of this year's Vilnius Documentary Film Festival (20. - 30.9.). At the same time, "Where the Condors Fly" is going to be screened at the festival DMZDocs (21. - 27.9.) in Gyenggi-do, South Korea, in the section "Art Links". At the International Film festival Message to Man (22. - 29.9.) in St. Petersburg it is going to be presented to the Russian audience by Victor Kossakovsky, documentary filmmaker and protagonist in "Where the Condors Fly".

"Where the Condors Fly" has been chosen by the documentary film festival Etats Généraux du Film Documentaire (19. - 25.8.2012) and be shown for its first time in France. The festival will screen the documentary by Carlos Klein in a double screening together with Victor Kossakovsky's work "Long live the Antipodes".
